Season Finale
“Non-judgmental justice is a perception that allows you to see everything in life, but does not engage your negative emotions.”
― Gary Zukav, The Seat of the Soul
Here we are with the last eclipse we will have in this season finale of Pluto in Capricorn. As the energies of this eclipse unfold over the next 3 - 6 months, there will be a karmic release of things that must end, within the Libra search for justice, balance and harmony, including all manner of relationships and dynamics. Things are moving fast and this eclipse reflects the very emotional and aggressive energy which has already amped up on so many levels. Don’t expect it to slow down, and I’m certainly focusing on staying grounded and calm.
I have often said that I believe the human race is on Earth primarily working with mastering the emotional body. This final pass of Pluto in Capricorn is an important initiation period towards the next level, which many, including myself, belief is a significant step up in our conscious awareness. Pluto moves fully into Aquarius on November 20th, so that will be a big shift, but we also have Mars in Cancer since September 5, going retrograde. and not out of this sign until mid April of next year.
In Evolutionary Astrology, Mars is the cutting edge or front line of Pluto’s journey, and of course Cancer rules over the area of home, emotions, nurturance and protection for what is near and dear. Mars is not comfortable in this watery and changeable environment, but when the motivation and intentions are lined up and clear, Mars in Cancer is a passionate and formidable force.
Mars is the ruling planet for the Aries North Node of this eclipse chart and will relentlessly challenge us to channel our actions with the power of a smooth running river, not a whirlpool where we drown or choppy seas where we risk losing control.
What’s ahead with Mars:
Mars in Cancer is opposite Pluto in Capricorn at 29° November 2 - 3 before moving into Leo on November 4.
Mars goes retrograde on December 6 at 6° Leo, moving back to oppose Pluto for the second time at 1° Leo on January 1, 2025.
Mars retrogrades back into Cancer on January 6, just 6 day before the Lunar Nodes shift into Pisces / Virgo.
Mars stations direct at 17° Cancer on February 23, 2025, staying in Cancer until April 18.
Mars opposes Pluto for the final time at 3° Leo on April 25 - 26, 2025.
Mars opposite Pluto is our collective need to truly see clearly where we are collectively and brings the energetic drive to push through stagnations and exhausting power struggles. That said, it is very difficult and aggresive energy that must be handled carefully.
Mars will also be Out of Bounds from December 30, 2024 - April 7, 2025. Out of Bounds is when a planet seems to travel outside the band where most planets stay, one could say they go off track, and are not confined by or feel the need to stick to the general “rules of the road”. The qualities of Mars during this time are exaggerated for better and for worse, pushing for change, individualism and freedom in an intense and emotional way.
Coming up this month of October:
The Moon is out of bounds Oct 6 - 11 reflecting the potential for more craziness outside the bounds of reason on a mundane level, especially so close to this eclipse and with Mars in Cancer.
On the 17th we have the partner to this eclipse, a Super Full Moon at 24:34 Aries (ruled by Mars currently in Cancer). Venus moves into Sagittarius on that day as well.
The Moon is out of bounds again from the 19th - 23rd, where it will conjunct Mars in Cancer at 25° Cancer on the 23rd.
The Sun moves into Scorpio on the 22nd.
