“Survival is the Ability to Swim in Strange Water”
"Ours is an age between worldviews, creative yet disoriented, a transitional era when the old cultural vision no longer holds and the new has not yet constellated. Yet we are not without signs of what the new might look like."
~ Richard Tarnas Cosmos and Psyche: Imtimations of a New World View
We have a Full Moon / partial Lunar eclipse at 25:40 Pisces, today, 9/17/2024 at 10:33 pm EDT, and you may be able to see it. Visibility: South in North America, much of South America, Pacific, Atlantic Antarctica. This is an amazing time to tune into a deep contemplative space of releasing to source all that is out of your control, knowing that cosmic order and harmony is in place..
This is the last Full or New Moon that is conjunct Neptune in Pisces that we will experience in our lifetime. Saturn in the mix is the opportunity to anchor in our faith and trust in the mystical forces that are outside of our current comprehension.
Neptune as the ruler of Pisces has added a surreal energy to the very intense Pluto in Capricorn transit, and as we are in the final pass of Pluto in Capricorn, (moving fully into Aquarius by November 20th), so the Piscean sense of perceptual and cognitive distortions that has many of us mind-boggled and confused, will likely come to a climax in the next few weeks.
That doesn’t mean that the worst is over. We have a couple more years of transition time. As Pluto is destroying our current societal structure, Neptune in its own sign of Pisces has us floating every which way without a clear sense of direction. This too shall pass, and remember we are all held within the ocean of consciousness, of which we are a part. In the vast picture of existence, so much more is going on than we can imagine.
The problem is that this level of unknowing and feeling out of control can bring up a lot of anxiety and fear for many. The antidote is to do the Piscean practice of surrender and “Let Go and Let God”. I know what that feels like. When Neptune moved into Pisces in 2012, it concurrently transited my Moon and Sun in the early degrees of Virgo and Gemini. The most intense years were in 2013 and 2014, but there is always a prologue and epilogue to these longer and transformative outer transits.
For me, it was all about my home, obviously with the Moon, but my Sun is in the 4th house ruled by the Moon. Life was already pretty challenging at this point, but then I had to move 4 times in 4 years from places I loved because of weird and out of my control circumstances. I knew I was in a long Neptune transit and I also felt I would have a nervous breakdown if I did not just surrender to the process. I was a better person for it in the end. Neptune has a way of amplifying our spiritual journey as we let Universe guide the way.
Another example I am currently experiencing is Neptune transiting through my 2nd house of money, resources, values and self worth. I have been appalled at how large sums of money I have spent towards well intentioned and important projects just slip away. With Neptune, sometimes no matter how hard you try, no matter how careful you think you are being, life brings disappointment, sadness and loss, we just have to let it go. What looks so wonderful at first may not be at all what it seems.
Neptune, ruler of Pisces where it has been for the past 12 years, is named after the lord of the ocean depths. The Koran states that out of water, all life comes. Some say that the water triad is the ultimate pathway towards enlightenment. Hang onto to your emotions and learn what you can as this is an important part of expanding in Saturn’s reality to allow more consciousness to flow through us. Surrender softens the edges and allows the flow to be strong and clear.
While this is the last Full/New Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune as Neptune will be moving towards Aries fully by January 2026, the Lunar Nodes move into Pisces / Virgo in January 2025, so we do still have two more important Pisces lunations.
In February of 2025 we have a 9:40 Pisces New Moon, and we have a Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 15:22 Pisces in September of 2025, rounding off this very intense Piscean journey that began in 2012. By 2026, Neptune has fully entered Aries, and Saturn is fully in Aries by February 2026.
Look to where Pisces is in your chart. This is where the magic and faith as we surrender what is not in our control, clear us for the road ahead and the greatest transformation of many lifetimes.
