Aquarius Super Full Moon & the Mighty Square

Back in 2020 on the December Solstice, we had the exact Jupiter / Saturn conjunction at 0° Aquarius on the Solstice. Remember that this is an important 200 year cycle beginning the 20 year meet ups of these two gas giants in air signs, making it a Great Conjunction. We are entering into the Aquarian Age and Jupiter is the esoteric ruler of Aquarius, symbolizing the waters of Love-Wisdom. Love is the heart. Wisdom is the mind.
Jupiter symbolizes in general our greater understanding of our place in the cosmos, our bigger picture, our conceptual right brain connection to Divine Mind and Truth. Jupiter is magnificently expansive and brings freedom. Saturn meanwhile contracts and solidifies so as to lay the strongest foundation for our journey of soul mastery on 3D Earth.
Many astrologers view these two together as understandably incompatible, a difficult push pull of expansion and contraction. But it is also a creative tension that allows us to adjust to new ways and new worlds with patience, inner strength and mastery. Whatever bigger visions for our future we may be connecting to in these times has the possibility for strong and solid manifestation.
Now, here we are at the first quarter square of this great sociological cycle. A square of this magnitude always bring significant changes and redirections, not just a gentle fork in the road type of event. This square is called “crisis in action” by Dane Rudhyar, and basically affects the collective through next spring.
Yesterday and today we have Mars conjunct Jupiter at 16° Gemini, kicking off a tense Mars square 17° Pisces Saturn tomorrow, and the Jupiter square Saturn on the Friday, lasting through the 23rd this time around.
On the 18th, Mercury still retrograde moves back into Leo. On the 19th we have the Aquarius Super Full Moon at 27°, which is conjunct the Moon of The United States chart! Remember also that Pluto retrograde is currently at 0° Aquarius, the point of the December conjunction. We are fleshing out the final meanings of the US Pluto return and the country’s destiny.
The general emotional tenor deepens as we have a Hades Moon at 0° Aquarius on Saturday. The Moon then passes over Saturn and Neptune on the 20th and 21st, the North Node on the 22nd as the Sun changes into the season of Virgo, and Chiron as the first Jupiter square Saturn is ending.
Notably, the Aquarius super full moon is sextile to the point of the Galactic center. It feels to me like this period of time is a major turning point in our collective understanding, possibly an event that brings new insights but will also be challenging as we adapt.
