April’s energies are amplifying. Hang on tight.
On April 1, Mercury went retrograde at 27:13 Aries. During this retrograde period Venus moved into Aries at the stroke of midnight on 4/5. Then, on 4/8 at 2:19 pm EDT we have the infamous Total Solar Eclipse - supermoon (conjunct Chiron) at 19:23 Aries. The very next day, Mars is conjunct Saturn at 14° Pisces for 2 days. On the 15th, Mercury retrograde is conjunct Chiron at 19° Aries, the point of the eclipse. From the 17 - 21st, Jupiter is conjunct Uranus at 21° Taurus. This is one of the major transit of this year. We all have a lot of important life path reflecting to do.
Mercury goes direct at 15:59 Aries on the 25th. Mars is conjunct Neptune at 28° Pisces on the 27 - 28th. On the 29th, Venus moves into Taurus for 3.5 weeks. Finally, on the 30th, Mars moves into Aries for 5 weeks.
The drama around the upcoming April 8 Total Solar Eclipse has been something, and no wonder. It is a catalyst for change like we haven’t felt in awhile and the collective psychic senses are on full alert. This is the fourth total/annular solar eclipse to cast a shadow path across the US since 2012, and the final one until 2045, which will cross the path of this one. This April eclipse crosses over the path of the August 2017 Eclipse.
April 8 is such a mighty eclipse, and while eclipse affects are felt globally, those near or in the path have a unique and quite spectacular experience both visually and energetically. In Colorado where I live it will only be around 60%, but I will be tuning in deeply with some meditation. I always feel very still and peaceful during eclipses. It is the pause between the in and out of the universal breath that moves all life forward with growth and change. But much more is going on, and this eclipse is an explosive catalyst. This time period, April specifically, is a point of release and breaking patterns, for better or for worse, more powerful than we have or will feel in our lifetime.
It’s all about context. Remember that we are at an extremely rare turning point in the very large calendrical cycles that we map our time and motion by. Daniel Giamario has gone into this more than most and talks about a new 26,000 precessional cycle beginning and timelines converging, including the mayan calendar, the end of Kali Yuga, the end of the Mayan/Hopi Fifth Sun, and the end of the Anthropocene Era possibly bringing the a sixth mass extinction, and also possibly the end of 12 processional cycles of 300,000 years, arguably when mankind first appeared on Earth. Zooming in on the United States, we are still wrapping up the country’s Pluto Return, the cycle that tends to break empires. By 2027, Pluto will be conjunct the US South Node along with a Uranus return. We are also in the Fourth Turning as put forth by Strauss-Howe.
April brings the U.S. Chiron return, 1° from the upcoming eclipse. Also in April, the Solar Arc progression of the US natal chart Mars is at 27° Aquarius, conjunct the 27° Aquarius US Moon.
We are all along for the ride in terms of these bigger events, but the opportunity on an individual level to release ancient past karma and break patterns that put us on a new track is catalyzed with this eclipse. Whatever you are experiencing, noticing and feeling may not seem that big, but in fact likely life changing in a way unique to your life. Key areas of your chart to contemplate include 2 - 3 degree orb around the 19° Eclipse point, the 21° Jupiter/Uranus in Taurus point, and the last half of Pisces as Mars moves over Saturn at 14° and Neptune at 28°.
Be very self aware and ready to move forward on your path with renewed courage, conviction, authenticity and purity. Stay situationally aware from here on out. Whatever happens for the rest of the year is an inevitable part of destiny, and if areas of your life are seeming to fall apart, hard or painful, it is exactly as it’s meant to be.
